Mini-View: Friday Night In Beast House by Richard Laymon

I'm not sure about the rest of you but I do enjoy good horror stories. I've always been a sucker for a good scare so when I saw this on the shelf I snatched it up. Now I find out that it's a "piece" of a series and I'll have to find the rest. It was a crazy book! It also came with a novella so it was like getting two books for the price of one. (You can't beat that!) I'll be looking up more of this author's work.

About The Book:
(from Amazon)

When Mark finally musters his courage to ask Alison out, she accepts with one stipulation; that he help sneak her into the notorious Beast House after it closes.

  1. Laymon used to be my favorite author (unfortunately he died many years ago and I've read all his books) as I loved the way he wrote without a conscience. There's a few novels based on the Beast House and I enjoyed them all...I think the one you just read was the 4th in the series. I loved 'Funland' and 'Midnight's Lair' and would highly recommend them as well as 'Savage' which is slightly different from his other novels in that he tries to write it in the style of Huckleberry Finn which makes it a bit of an acquired taste.

  2. I love horror and have this series. I am dying to read it!
