These journeys will change his very understanding of reality, lead him to question his own sanity and land him at the center of perhaps the most audacious art heist in history: the theft of a 1,500 year old sculpture from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
International bestselling author M. J. Rose's The Hynpotist is her most mesmerizing novel yet. An adventure, a love story, a clash of cultures, a spiritual quest, it is above all a thrilling capstone to her unique Reincarnation novels, The Reincarnationist and The Memorist. -->
It's almost hard to describe what's encompassed in this book. Is it magical, mystical, or all a trick of the mind? I'm not sure what "it" is but it's excellent!
I'm a fan of M.J. Rose's writing because for me, it tends to carry me away into it's own world as I follow along in the "Treasure" hunt. (as it applies to this book) The series is complicated but simple all at the same time. I know that's an odd way of putting it but that's how I feel.
With The Hypnotist you follow several different stories which are intertwined; it really keeps your interest. It makes for a book that moves along at a speedy pace. I'll say that I do enjoy this series.

Getting published has been an adventure for Rose who self-published Lip Service late in 1998 after several traditional publishers turned it down. Editors had loved it, but didn't know how to position it or market it since it didn't fit into any one genre.

After selling over 2500 copies (in both electronic and trade paper format) Lip Service became the first e-book and the first self-published novel chosen by the LiteraryGuild/Doubleday Book Club as well as being the first e-book to go on to be published by a mainstream New York publishing house.
