This was a totally fun and cute book about a spunky little girl who wants a Mimosa tree of her own. I thought it was a perfect Earth Day read for my kids. Emmy likes all trees but she LOVES Mimosa trees the most. On her birthday she decides that she wants a tree of her own. She goes on a search and finally finds one at her Grandma's. Emmy learns that if she wants a big tree she has to take care and be patient.
I thought it had a good lesson for children about patience and taking care of "things" if you want them to grow. My kids loved the story and now guess what!? Yep, they want to plant a tree!
So I would say to pick this one up and read it with your kids. I'm sure they'll enjoy it as much as mine did, and don't be suprised if you end up going buy a tree LOL!
Let me also say that the illustrations were just beautiful!
Now thanks to Erin @ PeachTree I have a copy of this one to giveaway!
