Seventeen year old Veronica "Ronnie" Miller's life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Three years later, she remains angry and alientated from her parents, especially her father...until her mother decides it would be in everyone's best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie's father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church.
Reading Group Guide
Mr Sparks...why do you insist that I cry every time I read your books? *sigh* The Last Song is just a beautifully written story of love, loss, and forgiveness. It of course wasn't at all what I expected as most of Nicholas Sparks books throw you for a curve. It was a remarkable story about a father, his children, and the love of his daughter. It was extremely touching and makes you reflect on your own life. I highly recommend this book even though Mr. sparks needs no recommendation since he is such a wonderful writer.
Pick up the book and a book of Kleenex because you will need it if you read "the Last Song".
